- Shame on you, B.L..lol! You've comprised a great list but omitted two of my favorites. 1. Frank Pembleton of Homicide--life on the streets. Complex, very caring, and efficient. 2. Clancy Wiggum of The Simpsons. Every police department has a Clancy although they likely won't admit to it ;-)

- General Electric layed off 17,000 people, is cutting pension and health benefits ... but the CEO received a 175% raise to over $15 million. They also didn't pay any taxes last year while making record profits. Things are so wrong ...
What Would Jesus Christ Say to the Republicans AND the Democrats who continue to be willing to cut funding for the poor, for schools, for the elderly while supporting and promoting tax cuts for the rich and for large corporations?

- Thanks McSpocky, for sharing that beautiful (comment #3) rendition of Kanaka Wai Wai. While turning the volume up high and closing my eyes, it was possible to virtually escape for a few minutes to gorgeous, sunny Hawaii and forget the sound of the constant rain beating down on our Oregon roof ;-)
